Jaal (Lattice / Net)
Also known as: Trellis, Net repeat
A 'jaal' is a continuous interlocking net — the motif that turns a single block into an endless field of pattern.
Jaal blocks are cut so the design connects on every side, letting a printer march it across metres of cloth without a visible seam. Geometric jaals echo the carved marble screens (jaali) of Rajasthani palaces.
